What Illiana looked like in the early 1950s – This photo hangs in the pit office trailer at Illiana. Notice the two distinct track layouts, the pit area off of  turn three, the airplane hangars located to the left of a grove of trees in about the left/center of the picture, three entrances into the track property, and a two-lane Highway U.S. 30.
