Soldier Field was the scene of a series of AAA midget races in June of 1939. Wayne Adams took this picture from the south grandstands during an early practice session.

Tiger Tom Pistone and his '57 Chevy are ready for action at Chicago's Soldier Field in 1958.  Hailing from Chicago, Pistone would win the stock car championship at Soldier Field three times - 1953, 1954 and 1955.  Later, Pistone moved south to pursue a career in NASCAR racing.

Terry Parker poses with his crew outside of Soldier Field in 1967 before an evening of USAC stock car races at the Chicago lakefront arena.  Parker turned in a number of "top 10" performances at Milwaukee during his USAC career.
