Wayne Adams (on the far right) poses with a group
of West Coast midget drivers, who are busy reading the latest issue of
Illustrated Speedway News. Adams wrote for the paper and joined the racing
speedsters, who along with their cars, had been flown in from the California for
the midget races at Soldier Field in 1947.

Gabriel passed away on January 10, 2010.
