RUSS LAKE PHOTOGRAPHS
Milwaukee area racing photographer Russ Lake has been a “fixture” at both the Daytona 500 and Indianapolis 500 for years. Lake first visited “Indy” in 1952 and received his first photo press credential in 1963. He has only missed one or two “Indy spectacles” since. Lake is also the track photographer at the “Milwaukee Mile” – a track that he has been visiting since he was a kid with this dad, Ted Lake , being a longtime official at the speedway. From time to time, Lake, now in his 70’s, will be submitting some photos of Chicago area drivers in action at Milwaukee . He estimates that he has a million racing negatives and other photographic images in his collection. Lake is definitely a “Big Time Shooter.”
