Byron Fisher was a long time midget competitor in the Chicago area and throughout the Midwest. Fisher, who started racing around 1940, was "red hot" during the 1947 and 1948 seasons, winning feature races for a number of top car owners, including "Babe" Tuffanelli. Fisher, whose son also competed in midgers, passed away in 1986. Fisher is pictured in the Al Kaminski-owned midget, circa 1947.
